Second place finish for 10-year-old Elise Liu

RICHMOND, BC (August 20, 2017) - 10 year-old Elise Liu of Richmond, BC competed in the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation Venice Open 2017 on August 18 - 20, 2017.  Venice recently hosted many of the World's Best young players aged 5 - 18 on the three "Play Golf 54" courses - Galzignano, Frassanelle and Montecchia.  In the girls aged 10 division, competition was held at the Golf della Montecchia where there were a total of 10 competitors.  Liu captured a second place finish at the Venice Open 2017 one shot behind Rosie Bee Kim of the United Kingdom.

Liu's coach, PGA of Canada Golf Instructor, Richard Choi reflects on the lead up of her performance, "I was confident in her 'game' as it was clear that she had positive energy leading into the event.  She had played extremely well the week before in the U.S. Kids British Kids Championship, winning with a score of 67,76 a total of -1." This event marks Liu's third year playing this event including a Championship Title in 2016 where she shot 37, 36 a total of +1 as a 9 year-old winning her division!
